Job Abandonment/No-call No-show Policy

 Summary

An employee who fails to report to work and fails to notify a leader of the reason for the absence is considered to have abandoned the job. The leader, is to make

reasonable attempts to contact the employee. If the employee does not respond to such attempts and does not take appropriate action to return to work, the employee is

deemed to have voluntarily resigned and is terminated immediately.

If the employee returns to work or files an appropriate leave of absence claim after any no-call no-show event, the employee is still subject to disciplinary action

appropriate to the circumstances.

If absence is approved under a North Harbor Wealth Management leave of absence program, the employee’s attendance record is not negatively impacted; however, the

employee may still be subject to disciplinary action for not following appropriate absence notification procedures.
